FEW BOATS AND GREEN, DIRTY WATER
AT EL SOCORRO SOUTH OF SAN QUINTIN

Oct. 30, 2005, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico:

There wasn't much fishing pressure at San Quintin this week. We only had 5 boats out fishing.

Winds came up at San Quintin on Monday and Tuesday, after the great white sea bass at Socorro. We sent one boat down on Wednesday, but the fishing water was green and dirty. It caught no white sea bass. We are hoping the white seabass bite will resume after the water clears up a little bit.

We sent boats to fish at the 240 spot and Isla San Martin for scattered yellowtail and a good bite on reds and lings.

Air temperatures in the mornings are in the high 60's, to the mid-70's in the afternoons. We hope to give a better fishing report next week.
