San Quintin, Mexico:
The 2004 San Quintin Fishing Tournament Draws 283 Anglers

July 28, 2005, Julio Meza, San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico fishing:

We had 283 anglers on 97 boats fishing in the San Quintin the tournament. A total of 97 yellowtail were weighed, plus lots of sand bass and we paid the tuna category with the bonitas. White seabass and dorado were not here, but we put the prizes on the raffle bench.

Over 3,000 thousand persons stopped by the Old Mill during the 2 event days and 1,500 people for the award ceremony

Forty rod and reel outfits were given to the kids free, and the girls from Tecate, Telcel and Coca Cola were animating the whole show.

All the sponsors were so happy and had a good time. They are ready to go with us for the Baja California Sport Fishing circuit next year, with Rosarito, Ensenada, San Quintin and Bahia de los Angeles stages.

All the state and federal authorities, newspapers, television show and radio covered the tournament. Every angler got back safely.
