Santa Rosalia, Mexico Report

MOTOR PROBLEMS AND NO FISHING THIS WEEK

Aug. 20, 2005, Mike Kanzler, Isla San Marcos, Santa Rosalia, Baja fishing report, Mexico:

I've had a week of no fishing due to motor problems, and it driving me nuts!

Santa Rosalia weather this week is great, with no wind, flat seas and clear water. Air temperatures are hot, with 90s during the days and not much cool-off in the later hours. Santa Rosalia water temperatures are warm, 82-85 degrees, and with great visibility, at least close to shore,, of 30 plus feet.

With the fishing pretty good it's killing me just sitting around doing nothing other than some morning diving close to home. Word has it that Yellowtail are being caught around the local Bajos. I have ordered the part for my motor and should be back on the water by next week some time. I shall be back soon.
