VERY FEW CHARTER BOATS FISHED THIS WEEK AT SAN QUINTIN

Nov. 28, 2005, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas,, San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico:

There wasn't much fishing pressure at San Quintin this week. We only had six boats out fishing. Boats were heading south to Socorro for limits of white sea bass, calicos and sandies. The largest white sea bass was 65 pounds. Heavy winds came up on Friday and Saturday preventing San Quintin fishing boats from making the 13 miles to Socorro. Instead boats headed to the 15 fathom and 240 spots for limits of nice ling cod and rock cod.

San Quintin air temperatures have been in the mid 50's in the evenings and early mornings, warming to mid 70's by noon. Water temperatures has been fluctuating between 59 and 62 degrees.
