CHILLY MORNING AIR TEMPERATURES AND
FISH LIMITS AT THE SAN QUINTIN 240 SPOT
Nov. 6, 2005, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico sportfishing:
We had only ten boat fishing out of San Quintin this week under slightly windy conditions.
San Quintin air temperatures have been staying a little chilly in the mornings, but warming up in the afternoons.
Joen Zuniga brought friends Gil Lopez, Pedro Perez, and Jim DeCoursey from Los Angeles and they fished on the Rommy with Captain Hector. They got limits of calicos, sandies, barracuda, and reds while fishing up north at the 240 spot and around San Martin Island.
One of our San Quintin sportfishing boats went south to Socorro, but only landed 2 white sea bass, with mixed calicos and sand bass. The white sea bass were in the 20 pound range, and we hope this is a sign that they will be returning to the San Quintin fishing area in full force.
