TUNA ARE STILL ELUSIVE IN SAN QUINTIN OFFSHORE WATERS

Sept. 18, 2005, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja sportfishing, Mexico:

We had 15 boats fishing out of San Quintin this week. There are still no yellowfin tuna. San Quintin had moderate winds Thursday, Friday, and until midday Saturday. As of Sunday morning, there are no winds at all, overcast in the mornings, high 70's by 11 a.m.

Yellowtail still at San Martin Island and the 240 spot, one or two per rod. Rockcod fishing and lingcod fishing as usual has been great at San Quintin. One white seabass was caught at San Ramon last week but no others reported since.
