FULL CAPACITY FISHING FOR PEDRO'S
PANGAS OVER MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY

May 29, 2005, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico fishing:

We had a full Memorial Day weekend. Pedro's Pangas sent out at least 20 boats fishing out of San Quintin this week. On Thursday, we found a large school of yellowtail at Socorro but only snagged 2 of them on Rapalas, fish of about 18 pounds. We tried fishing there again the next day, but the yellowtail disappeared on us. Most San Quintin sportfishing boats went for rockcod and lingcod this week.

Ray Sandoval of Long Beach fished with Captain Miguel on the Paloma for limits of large reds and lingcod.

Al Puig and John Marcos of Orange County fished with Captain Hector on the Rommy with limits of large reds and lings.

Ramey Benington and Dennis Goffrey of Twain Harte, California brought in limits of the same.
