SURF PERCH LIMITS CAUGHT AT PLAYA SAN RAMON

April 1, 2005, Allan Tokunaga, San Quintin, San Quintin fishing, Baja California, Mexico:

Tad Hirai and I fished San Ramon beach north of San Quintin for nada on the 26th. On the 27th we started fishing a couple of hours before the high tide and got limits of surf perch to 2 pounds 6 ounces in a couple of hours. On Saturday we got out to the beach at the peak of the tide; the incoming was the key. On Saturday afternoon we went to Camalu to see if there was a bite, but heavy weed was a problem, so we only made a few casts. All fishing was with plastic grubs. We had dinner at the new hotel at Camalu, nice dinner, million dollar view.
