SUMMER DORADO FISHING CONTINUES
EXCELLENT FOR BOATS AT BAHIA DE LOS ANGELES

Aug. 7, 2005, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles dorado fishing, Baja California, Mexico:

Fishing has continued great for dorado. All Bahia de los Angeles (L.A. Bay) fishing boats are coming back loaded today. The temperatures have been warm and humid, in the mid 90's and 75 percent humidity. The winds have been from the southeast but they let you fish before they hit. Bait is easy to get. The water temperature is in the low 80's.

Aug. 1, 2005, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles, Mexico Fishing Report:

The dorado came in Saturday.

Dorado is wide open today also, only 3 miles from Punta Pescador. The water these last few days has been blue out in the channel, at 81-84 degrees. Bait has been easy to get 160 feet deep at Piojo, but there is not much bait close to the shore. Looks like we will have a good dorado run after all. Today more boats with limits of dorado came back. So far they seem to be increasing in numbers. We have been catching them on live bait under the sargasso and at times have more than 20 under the boat. The size is from 8 to 28 pounds.

Bahia de los Angeles weather is hot, with some days 100 and the mid 80’s during the night. The winds have been persistent out of the south east every day with some calm days in between. The water temperature is between 81-84 degrees and warming up still. It has been raining a lot up in the mountains.
