HOTEL OASIS FISHING REPORT

Dec. 24, 2005, Patty Zapata, Hotel Oasis, Loreto, Mexico Sportfishing Report, Baja California:

Loreto weather conditions, including wind, are not allowing fisherman to go out. This week we have had a few days of calm weather.

On a fishing trip with Capt. Martin Perpuli for the Cummings family, Bill and Annie and Gary Fischer, they began at 6 a.m. Their first Baja fishing destination was about 2 miles out to catch bait with a jig line. They sometimes caught as many as 5 mackerel at a time.

Next, they set out to fish about 10 miles between the islands of Coronado and Carmen. Seas were about 2-4 foot swells, with light wind. They caught 3 nice yellowtail from 19 pounds to 29 pounds.
