LOCAL YELLOWTAIL FISHING ACTION STEADY BETWEEN WINDS

Dec. 3, 2005, Arturo Susarrey, Arturo's Sportfishing, Baja California Sur, Loreto, Mexico Fishing Report:

Loreto sport fishing weather has been very windy during the week until last Tuesday, but we are enjoying nice and calm days.

The best yellowtail fishing reports for Loreto were from the Punta Pulpito area and also on the north side of San Ildefonso Island. Yellowtail have been caught, from 4 to 10 fish per boat, with weights of 15 to 25 pounds. There were also some yellowtail captured on Coronado Island with a weight of 5 to 10 pounds each.

Sea bass were located in same spots as yellowtail, and there has been caught almost 6 fish each per boat .

No roosterfish have been reported during the week.

Mackerel and bigeyes baits are available on Coronado Island or from the marina, by catching your own, or buy it early morning at the marina, at the price of 10 pieces for $15. Sardinas are also available in the harbor early in the morning.
