YELLOWTAIL AND DORADO MIXED TOGETHER IN
BAJA FISHING WATERS OFF SAN FRANCISQUITO

Aug. 12, 2005, Roger Crenshaw, San Francisquito, Baja fishing, Mexico:

Dorado and yellowtail are both in, close to shore off the major points with some current. The air temperature is 90 degrees. Water temperature is 79-81.

San Francisquito had a little rain last week but not enough to have an impact on the runway.

A sailfish was hooked and lost within 100 yards of shore at Seal Point, between the port and cabanas. Giant squid are in and they even come up to the sandy beach in front of cabanas during daylight.

It is too hot to stop to jig for bottom fish.
