BAHIA DE LOS ANGELES FISHING FOR OCTOBER
YELLOWTAIL IS GOOD AT GUADALUPE REEF

Oct. 13, 2004, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles, Baja California, Mexico Fishing:

There are medium to small size Bahia de los Angeles yellowtail on the deep reefs. Catch with live bait on the dropper loop and yo-yoing the iron on the reefs. The hot Bahia de los Angeles fishing spot this week has been Guadalupe reef, with lots of yellowtail in the 20-pound range and also some white seabass still. Bernabe reef was cleaned up by San Felipe boats last week. There are still a few dorado in the area, and lots of barracuda.

Bahia de los Angeles weather is just perfect except for one day of west wind. Temperatures are hitting the mid 80’s F mark and dropping to 69 at night, with humidity now 50%. The water temperature is cooling a bit fast, it is 76-79 F all over the place. There are no mosquitoes. There are lots of whalesharks in the bay now, 8 to 10 different ones per trip. Fuel is 150.00 for 5 gallons. The new gas station is taking shape but no word on when it will open yet.
