JUST A FEW ANGLERS FISHING IN "IFFY" WEATHER CONDITIONS

Dec. 2, 2005, Patty Zapata, Hotel Oasis, Loreto, Mexico Fishing Report:

We have not had very many fisherman lately at Loreto, and due to weather conditions, wind, there has not been much opportunity to go out.

Michael Michelson and Christian Stocks left the beach by 6.20 a.m. taking off from Hotel Oasis beach to fish for bait. The fish were biting very good. so with sunrise they were able to go fishing grounds. The water was fine and improving. They caught two Yellowtail and Michelson got a hammerhead shark after a long fight.

After trying other places for fish they were taken by Captain Martín Quintana to the seaside of Coronado Island. The bait was already used up so they decided to go for smaller fish in the very deep waters and brought after unsuccessful tries, a big fish. It took more than 12 minutes to get it closer to the boat, a big Yellowtail again but this time the largest Michelson has ever witnessed as being caught during his fishing trips. As they said it will go for a good meal! They had a very good time!
