BAJA PIRATES SPORTFISHING REPORT

May 27, 2005, Leonard Phillips, Baja Pirates Fleet, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

The fishing at La Paz has been improving all week. At the north end of Isla Espirtu Santo limits of yellowtail from 15-20 pounds were caught. Plenty of cabrilla and pargo were along the south side of Espirtu Santo. Water temperatures have been climbing and are now in the mid 70's. A lot of surface action was seen, including several Roosterfish of 30-50 pounds. Jimmy Head of New Mexico caught a trio of large roosters. Their estimated weight was 40-50 pounds, on released fish.
