FISHING ACTION NOT TO EXCITING IN ALL AREAS

March 20, 2005, Jonathan Roldan, Tailhunter International, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

Not a whole lot of La Paz fishing action this week. For the first time in several weeks, no dorado on our boats, but several were caught. One wahoo hooked up and dropped and we spotted several early season striped marlin that wouldn't go, but encouraging signs.

La Paz side fishing was definitely better than Las Arenas fishing, with more yellowtail picked up off Espiritu Santo Island, but pick fishing on the Las Arenas side, although pargo, cabrilla and sierra were there to be caught, but it was definitely variable.

Not much fishing to get too excited about unfortunately this week. Checking the La Paz fishing area water temperatures, things are definitely warming. There's a big body of warmer fishing water on the east side of Cerralvo Island where temperatures are into the low 70's and inner waters are also warming with stuff closer to La Paz in the upper 60's already.
