ONLY ABOUT 10 TO 12 BOATS PER WEEK FISHING ON LAS ARENAS SIDE

Dec. 26, 2004, Gerardo Hernandez, Las Arenas, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

This morning, Sunday, in the La Paz travel area, the dawn was cooler at about 50 degrees, but earlier in the week it was in the 60s and 70s, with a little bit of wind, and good fishing for sierra of 6 to 8 pounds, pargo of 12 to 15 pounds, and dorado of 15 to 20 pounds, and also good action on wahoo in the area around Punta Perico. Some La Paz pangas also fished for squid of 25 to 30 pounds.

Only a few commercial and sportfishing boats, about 10 to 12 for the week, fished at Las Arenas. The sea surface water temperature is starting to go down, and it is now about 72 to 74 degrees in the areas where we are fishing.
