In addition to Dorado, East Cape anglers are also catching Yellowfin Tuna as well as a few Striped Marlin.

East Cape has been seeing the typical north winds. The winds blew for most, if not all week.

This past week East Cape has seen just a few Striped Marlin. That's entirely typical for the beginning of the year and we'll look for those numbers to slowly creep up as we get toward Spring and Summer. Those Stripers that were landed were reportedly caught straight off Los Barriles, 13-14 miles, as well as to the south off Los Cerritos.

Anglers reported dorado action between the waters of Los Barriles, and Punta Pescadero to the north, 13-15 miles; shark buoy stops. For the most past, most of the dorado are coming in at the 15 pound class. Mackerel and hoochies reportedly did the trick there.

Some decent yellowfin tuna numbers have come in over the past week with anglers reporting Tuna hookups straight off Los Barriles, as well as to the south off Punta Arena.

Rounding out the report were quite a few Sierra.
