BUENA VISTA FISHING BOATS GOING OUT
ABOUT 15 TO 30 MILES NORTH AND SOUTH THIS WEEK

Nov. 5-11, 2004, Axel Valdez, Buena Vista Beach Resort, East Cape fishing, Baja California Sur, Mexico:

Total East Cape charter fishing boats out, 53. Fishermen, 183. Weather, Low to High 80's. Water Temperature: 78°- 82°. Blue Marlin 2. Striped Marlin 7. Sailfish 39. Dorado 103. Tuna 22. Snapper 6. Bonita 8. Triggerfish 2. Skip Jack 22. Rainbow Runner 1.

East Cape Water Temperature: Water was found below the 80's mark, this is the first time since early in the year. Still there are some East Cape fishing areas where water condition still holds up.

Air Temperature: Last weekend was really nice with nice calm days, even though the wind started on Monday an carry on to Thursday, we had several East Cape boats going out the whole week with excellent catching days.

Fishing Spots and Distance: It seems that the East Cape fishing has come closer to the area, as our boats are fishing from Punta Arena to El Cardonal up North. Distance vary from 15 to 30 miles, which makes it a very easy cruise.

Offshore Fishing: Some late blues this past week, one up to 345 lbs. A good number of stripers, sails and dorados, and how about those nice tunas as well.

Inshore Fishing: There has not been much inshore fishing from our East Cape fleet, still the reports are that the pargo and jacks are going strong down South by La Rivera.

Successful Lures: Arturo reported that petrolero was working very well, still when fishing is good all of them work.

Bait Used: East Cape pangueros are still getting sardines, mackerel and caballitos, you need to find the guys, but they are around.

Highlight of the Week: A late bite this past week, it seemed as it was right the middle of the summer with a very mix bag catch. Nice blues, stripers, sails, dorado, tuna etc.
