LOCAL FLY FISHING ABOARD THE CHARTER SUPER PANGA CHEER'S

Dec. 9, 2006, Ramon Druck, charter super panga Cheer's, Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico:

Fishing on Sunday, December 3rd:

The Cheer's departed Cabo San Lucas at 6:30 a.m., in good weather conditions, and returned to port at 11:30 a.m. I had just two anglers on board, JR Samson and Marc Gallo, fly fishing near Cabo on the Pacific Ocean. The water temperature was 84 to 84 degrees, with cool air, but pleasant and without wind, and the sea was calm. Fishing in front of the Hotel Solmar along the beach, just 5 to 10 meters from the shore using fly fishing leaders of 5 to 10 pounds, we caught 19 fish: 3 ladyfish, 5 roosterfish, 1 needlefish, 7 sierra, 2 skipjack, and 1 jack crevalle.

Fishing on Monday, December 4th:

The Cheer's departed Cabo San Lucas at 6:30 a.m. and returned at 12 noon after fishing on the Pacific side in very calm seas, cloudy skies, and a little wind. I fished 3 miles out from the beach at Faro Viejo with 2 anglers on board, Glen Anderson and Doris Anderson, who were visiting from the United States. The water temperature was 80 to 81 degrees and we caught 3 dorados.

Fishing on Wednesday, December 6th:

The Cheer's fished out of Cabo San Lucas from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., having a good fishing trip without wind, seas calm, and skies clear. Fishing on the Cortez side about 5 meters from shore at the Hotel Riu Villa del Palmar, we caught 2 dorados of 20 to 25 pounds, and 4 sierra of 4 to 5 pounds. Fishing with me was angler Donald D. Roth.

Fishing on Saturday, November 9th:

I fished from 6:30 a.m. to 12 noon, finding a very pleasant day with clear skies, no wind, a very calm sea, and the air temperature very nice at 83 degrees. I fished with a client named "Bill" from Idaho in the United States, fishing on the Pacific Ocean about 3 miles from the beach, for a catch of 4 dorados of about 30 to 35 pounds.
