FIVE DAYS OF GOOD BAJA FISHING

Oct. 29, 2005, Derek Arneson, La Bocana fishing, Baja California Sur, Mexico:

Richard Arneson, James Chandler, and I, of San Diego, fished out of La Bocana. We were there Oct 22-28th.

We drove down about 13 hours. We fished three days at Roca Ballena 6 miles out, and two days in the lagoon for mucho halibut and bass, 1 grouper also.

We fished five days with Captain Juanchy Aguilar. We caught as many yellowtail as we wanted. For example the first day with just two of us in the panga we boated 38 yellowtail! We weren't able to get far offshore because of the wind but it was a great trip. La Bocana is an excellent place with excellent people! Thank you very much Juanchy and Joaquin for everything!
