San Quintin, Mexico:
Local Anglers Catching Easy Rockcod And Lingcod Sportfishing Limits

June 25, 2005, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin fishing, Baja California, Mexico:

Fishing with us this weekend out of San Quintin were fathers and kids, Brian and Blake Bunting, and Jerry, Jerry Jr., and Alison Julian, along with nephew, Brian Pope. The dads decided to spend some quality time with their kids and came down for a belated Father's Day fishing trip. The kids enjoyed easy limits of large rockcod and lingcod. They also snagged a few yellowtail out at the island and brought them in on Rapalas.

Winds were on and off all week, keeping all San Quintin charter fishing boats local. None of our boats were able to get out to the tuna areas to check on recent reports of a few being in the area. Besides the wind, the weather is beautiful with sunny days and temperatures in the high 70s.
