San Quintin, Mexico:
Private Boat "Daycare" Fishes Out Of The Old Mill

March 12, 2005, Ed Duitsman, San Quintin, Baja fishing, Mexico:

We had another fun fishing trip to San Quintin. We fished on Friday the 4th, Saturday, and Sunday, on my boat "DAYCARE".

We caught 2 yellowtail on Friday with lots of lingcod, sheephead, whitefish, bonita and red rockcod.

On Saturday, we fished for 6 yellowtail plus the miscellaneous fish.

On Sunday, 2 more yellowtail and all the other miscellaneous fish.

There were 7 of us fishing at San Quintin this round, myself Ed Duitsman and my 2 boys John and Brian, my brother Van Duitsman and his 2 kids Tim and Ben, and our friend Dave Turner.

We stayed at the Old Mill Hotel in San Quintin, where we had left our fishing boat in January. The San Quintin fishing water temperature was 58-59 degrees. The ocean was rough, with huge swells and breakers at Ben's Rock, also with lots of wind starting around noon daily. All of our fishing was around Ben's Rock and the Island area.
