PEDRO'S PANGAS SENDS OUT 10 SPORTFISHING BOATS

March 7, 2005, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin sportfishing, Baja California, Mexico:

This week Pedro's had only 10 boats go fishing out of San Quintin. Boats headed south toward Socorro and got limits of sandbass and calico bass with a few yellowtail. Boats that went fishing at the 240 and 15 fathom spots got yellowtail of 15 to 20 lbs. and giant squid. Winds blew most of the week at San Quintin, with late rain. It cleared up Friday afternoon, and on Saturday and Sunday, it was partly cloudy with sun, but not windy at all.

Air temperatures at San Quintin were 68 degrees as of 8:30 a.m., and it will probably get up to the mid-70's by late afternoon.
