MOTHERSHIP TONY REYES FISHES
AT ISLA SAN PEDRO MARTIR

July 24-29, 2005, Tony Reyes, Tony Reyes Fishing Tours, Tony Reyes, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Panga Mothership Fishing Report:

The Tony Reyes fished on on a six-day Midriff Islands trip, returning to San Felipe on July 29, 2005, with a catch of: six black sea bass to 65 pounds; three grouper to 45 pounds; 147 yellowtail to 25 pounds; 28 pargo to 15 pounds; six broomtail grouper to 26 pounds; 60 squid; 215 spotted bay bass; 138 white seabass to 31 pounds; and 12 sheephead to 8 pounds.

We fished at San Francisquito Bay, Isla San Pedro Martir, Smith Island, Punte Remedios, and the Enchanted Islands. Sixty-five cabrilla up to 14 pounds were caught at the Enchanted Islands on live mackerel. The fishing weather was good for this trip out of San Felipe for three days, and the wind only blew for one day. The water temperatures in our fishing area averaged 80 degrees and the air temperature averaged 100 degrees.

For the previous week's fishing trip out of San Felipe, the Tony Reyes returned on July 22, 2005, with a catch of: 135 yellowtail to 31 pounds; two grouper, 35 to 42 pounds; 165 cabrilla to 12 pounds; 43 sheephead to 10 pounds; 236 spotted bay bass; 70 squid; and 30 red snapper. We had a couple of days with rough weather fishing from San Francisquito and ended up at the Enchanted Islands. The water temperature averaged 82 degrees. There was plenty of bait available.
