PAPA FERNANDEZ LOCALS JOIN BINATIONAL
EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE COMMITTEE

March 5, 2005, Doug Magee, Papa Fernandez, Northern Sea of Cortez, Baja California, Mexico Fishing Report:

The weather here at Papa Fernandez is improving, finally reaching the 80 degree mark on Wednesday. Fishing around Gonzaga Bay is picking up outside, and sierra and a few yellowtail are hitting, plus an assortment of bottom fish taken on the high spots, including halibut, bass, and sculpin.

That was a nice photo of Celia Diaz and the U.S. Coast Guard. We joined her Binational Emergency Medical Care Committee for five years, after they did the emergency helicopter medical evacuation here. We arranged for about 30 others from this area get BEMCC cards also. It was all done with email and credit cards, making it very easy.

Now, we're getting another rain squall. This makes 19 days of rain this year. The water temperature in the bay is 72 degrees.
