BIG YELLOWTAIL FOUND AT SNAKE ISLAND
BY PANGA MOTHERSHIP TONY REYES

July 24, 2004, Tony Reyes Jr., Tony Reyes Fishing Tours, Midriff Islands, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Fishing Report:

We went out with 26 anglers guided by chartermaster Doug Boyd fishing the large Midriff islands of La Partida and Angel de la Guarda. We spent two days fishing at Snake Island because bait was available and we had good fishing, big yellowtail and grouper were biting in this area, most of them still staying on the reef.

We had to change to stronger line because with 40 and 50 pound test line it was almost impossible to pull them from the rocks. In Puerto Refugio some of our pangas found real nice red snapper fishing, with some weighing up to 14 pounds. The last day we ended up at fishing the Enchanted Islands and caught more cabrilla and barred pargo in this area before returning to San Felipe.
