BOAT NO SNIVELLING RELEASES A BLACK MARLIN

Oct. 14, 2005, Craig Collins, No Sniveling, San Carlos, Mexico Fishing Report:

No Sniveling had two days of great San Carlos fishing weather on Friday and Saturday, with calm seas. We released a 200 pound plus black marlin on Friday, and a small striped marlin on Saturday. We did have multiple strikes, including a double hookup when we landed the striped, and lost the other. We also busted off a large one, so if anyone gets one with a 26 ounce purple Catchy Spinner in its mouth, let me know. It was last seen greyhounding toward Tortuga Island!

The big black marlin was caught by Steve Brideau of Safford, Ariz., while fishing with a Penn 30VSW and 80 pound, using a Pakula Lumo Sprocket on the long rigger. That lure got bit several times and landed both marlin that were released.
