5 DORADO TO 40 POUNDS CAUGHT DURING FISHING ABOUT 8 MILES OUT

June 9, 2005, Bob Blair, Fishing San Carlos, San Carlos, Mexico Fishing Trip Report:

I went fishing out of San Carlos yesterday and in a 2-hour period caught five dorado (also dolphinfish), including one 40 pounder, and one striped marlin. I hit deep blue fishing water about 8 miles out of San Carlos. We only went 13 miles and never did get out of blue water. The sea had 1-foot swells and occasional 2 footers. It was great fishing and great to get out on the water. I caught more fish yesterday then I did in two days of the tournament.
