DORADO OF 20 TO 30 POUNDS FOUND IN WARMING WATERS

May 14, 2005, Bill Molden, San Carlos, Mexico Fishing Report:

The water temperatures in the San Carlos fishing area are holding at the 72-74 degree mark with blue water holding at 30 miles out.

Good numbers of small dorado of 10-20 pounds have been reported by San Carlos sportfishing boats, with a few 30 pounders caught here and there. There have also been quite a few billfish caught out of San Carlos, but has been hard to get them to bite.

Yellowfin tuna have moved out to the 40-mile mark and it's a tough jaunt to find them.

Warmer fishing water in the next couple of weeks in San Carlos area should move the cleaner water in closer, and hopefully bigger fish with it.
