OFFSHORE SPORTFISHING ABOARD THE CHARTER BOAT PRIME TIME

Nov. 18, 2006, Josh Temple, Prime Time Adventures, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico:

We finally have what we've all been waiting for all season long in the Puerto Vallarta sportfishing area, a south current pushing hard. With it came the fantastic fishing we all knew was just around the corner.

Puerto Vallarta water temperatures climbed slightly to 86 degrees with the current carrying warm, fish-rich waters from southern climes.

This week offered spectacular fishing action off of Roca Corbeteña and El Banco as massive schools of skipjack and bullet tuna were devoured by black and blue marlin and marauding schools of giant yellowfin tuna.

Anglers Alex McClusky and Greg Stewart fished 4 days with me aboard our Puerto Vallarta boat Prime Time and racked up a catch totaling 11 tuna up to 263 pounds, 4 black marlin up to 400 pounds, 2 dorado to 40 pounds, and 17 roosterfish to 50 pounds.

The 51st annual Club de Pesca Sailfish and Marlin tournament began on Friday so we're expecting some great fishing.
