ANGLER LANDS FIRST-EVER SAILFISH ABOARD CHARTER BOAT ARCA DE NOE

Jan. 2, 2006, Danny Osuna, Marla's Sportfishing, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Sportfishing Report:

Fishing out of Puerto Vallarta today, Diego Bravo of Mexico City caught his first ever sailfish, a 65 pounder with Capt. Alonso Osuna aboard the charter boat Arca de Noe, while fishing at Roca Corbeteña. We were using caballito and mullet baits. Puerto Vallarta sportfishing waters were nice and flat, with no wind and nice clean water at 77 degrees.

After landing few small pargos and trying to catch some tunas while they were crashing all over we decided to fast troll with some sailfish and dorado lures.

After trolling for 30 minutes, we hooked up Diego's sailfish, and after landing this fish, we trolled again, no longer than 20 minutes, and the deckhand hooked up and was a nice 35 pound female dorado. The Marla II and the Marla III are doing well also, but they have been doing more inshore fishing and whale watching trips.
