SUPER PANGA DHAMAR FINDS TUNA JUMPING AT OFFSHORE BAJOS

Nov. 13, 2005, Danny Gomez, Dhamar Sportfishing, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Fishing Report:

This week was a good week of fishing for us at Puerto Vallarta. We did a lot fast trolling.

On Tuesday morning, I took my partner Irving and his girlfriend fishing. We started between El Morro and the rock, and we hooked two dorados the first thing, about 40 to 50 pounds. I trolled the area real good, and we ended with three more dorados and a blue marlin that came up short. I put another mullet right on his bill, but be wasn't interested.

Fishing the next morning, we took two couples from Salt Lake City, but we only got one big dorado and two sailfish that came to the teasers. That was on Wednesday.

Fishing out of Puerto Vallarta on Thursday morning, we went to the rock, but it was very hard to fish, with yellowfin tuna jumping everywhere, but we could not make these fish bite. Finally, we got a good strike on a skipjack, but we missed the 300 pound plus fish. We ended up getting two tunas of 20 pounds and a 45 pound dorado. This charter was with a good friend, Gino and Mr. Bill from California. This man always has fished with me at Puerto Vallarta every November for the past five years. He likes to fish four or five days in November. He is going to wait until the tournament is over and see how the bite is at the rock and El Banco, but we have to see what happens with the tuna seiners.
