FIVE COW TUNA LANDED AT CLEOPHUS BANK ON SPORTFISHING BOAT YOLARAY

Aug. 22, 2005, Thomas Lin, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Fishing Trip Report:

I fished August 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 on the Puerto Vallarta charter fishing boat Yolaray with Martin Yoshida of Yo's Custom Rods.

We fished the Cleophus Bank, Puerto Vallarta. Fishing was very good, as Martin and I had a double hookup everyday on the big tuna. We nailed 5 cows and 2 blue Marlin, one released and one died, and multiple fish of 150 pounds plus.

Puerto Vallarta fishing conditions were nice, with minimal swells, good clean water, and wind less than 5 knots.

Some tuna caught weighed 207, 267, 188, 220, 203, and 257 pounds.

The water temperature according to Capt. Manny Ocaranza was 83-84 degrees. Martin and I will be back to Puerto Vallarta again Sept. 3-7 fishing with the Yolaray.
