MIXED SPORT FISHING RESULTS FOR MARLIN AND TUNA

July 23, 2005, Bob Manroe, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Fishing Report:

We were targeting large marlin and tuna only in Puerto Vallarta. We had mixed results the water was green early in our trip, but the last 10 days it was blue and 84 to 86 degrees. We were getting large bait, big skipjack or small yellowfin 8 to 15 pounds, everyday. We just didn't have a lot of luck this year. Last year we caught and released at least 10 marlin of 400 pounds to 800 pounds and many tuna over 200 pounds. The boat is back in Cabo now. We will go back next week to catch some more stripers and prepare for the Bisbee East Cape tournament which we won last year.
