YOLARAY CHARTER BOAT FINDS A 55-POUND ROOSTERFISH WHILE FISHING OFFSHORE

March 20, 2005, Andrew Pickerel, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Fishing Report:

The Puerto Vallarta charter fishing boat Yolaray went out to Corbetena looking for tuna but only saw some puddlers with lockjaw. They went inside to El Moro and scored a nice 60-plus lb amberjack and a surprise offshore 55-plus lb roosterfish. The skipper was Manuel Ocaranza. Puerto Vallarta fishing water is clear and nice with lots of bait. The water temperature is down to 73-74 degrees.
