VACATION ANGLERS SCORE ON 5 BLUE MARLIN TO 435 POUNDS

July 16, 2005, Bill Heimpel, Star Fleet, Mazatlan, Mexico Fishing Report:

Fishing in the Mazatlan vacation area has been good, with sailfish, lots of dorados, and we have now caught 5 blue marlin so far, the biggest at 435 pounds, which was caught on a "PETROLERO" lure of brown and black colors. The water temperature in the Mazatlan sportfishing area is 83 degrees, and seas have been fairly calm with a predominant south wind 10 to 14 knots in the fishing area, in blue water, about 15 to 20 miles off Mazatlan.
