STAR FLEET OFFSHORE SPORTFISHING REPORT

April 20, 2005, Bill Heimpel, Star Fleet, Mazatlan, Mexico Fishing Report:

Fishing conditions for Mazatlan have had activity for striped marlin in 75 degree water about 18 miles from shore, along with a few wahoos and more dorados that are being caught each day, since Mazatlan fishing waters are warming up and there are more bait fish too. Sailfish will be at Mazatlan soon. We have caught and released 5 this week, the biggest at about 85 pounds. The biggest dorado was 43 pounds. We haven't seen any blue marlin. Fishing conditions at Mazatlan are changing in water temperatures, currents, etc. We should expect more activity from May on.
