VIKINGS FLEET OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT

Feb. 11-17, 2005, Gary Palmeter, Vikings Fleet, Mazatlan, Mexico Fishing Report:

Mazatlan fishing this week for billfish has been great with a success rate of 85% of all our boats coming in with either Striped Marlin, Sailfish or both. The largest catch was a Striped Marlin of 125 pounds, and largest Sailfish was 90 pounds.

The dorado (mahi-mahi) bite has been great this week at Mazatlan with the Dorado being between 15 to 40 pounds. We are also catching some very large "BULL" Dorado in the 50 pound to 60 pound class as well.

The yellowfin tuna have been averaging about 20 pounds, with some occasional larger.

There are still the occasional Mako Shark and as well Hammerhead Shark being spotted.

Mazatlan fishing boats are catching many other varieties of small game fish on our light tackle trips. These trips are great for the entire family to have fun and plenty of action.
