SPORTFISHING CHARTER BOATS AVERAGE ABOUT 1 MARLIN OR SAILFISH PER DAY

Mazatlan billfish action continues at about 1 billfish per boat day fished, with mostly striped marlin and a few sailfish. Inshore fishing at Mazatlan continues to be very good, producing excellent catches of palometas, pargo, morjarras and cabrillas and there were some easy limits being taken.

The offshore fishing reflected 32 stripers, (14 released) and 3 sailfish, (1 released) 4 dorado and 13 yellowfin tuna for 38 fishing days.

Mazatlan Climate: Very good weather conditions with temperatures ranging from 58 nights to 86 daytime highs and mostly sunny.

Mazatlan Sea Conditions: Fishing water temperatures have cooled a little, ranging from 71.5 degrees offshore to 74 inshore.

Best Mazatlan Fishing Area Off The Mexican Coast: 25-29 miles to the southwest of the Marina El Cid.

Best Lure/Bait: Rigged trolling baits were the hot bait for fishing out of Mazatlan the week.
