LARGER DORADO SHOWING UP FOR STAR FLEET FISHING BOATS

Sept. 30, 2004, Bill Heimpel, Star Fleet, Mazatlan, Mexico Fishing:

Fishing conditions have been good at Mazatlan with large dorado showing up lately, 30 to 50 pounders, in schools and some around branches and trees washed down from the local rivers. Sailfish are also in, as is normal, and some blue marlin activity has been reported. Water temperature in Mazatlan in 82, and blue water is about 13 miles from the Lighthouse. Our biggest fish of September was a blue marlin 387 pounds, and our biggest dorado 56 pounds.
