VERY FEW ANGLERS PRESENT IN THE SPORTFISHING AREA

A lack of fish isn't the problem for Mazatlan, but a lack of anglers sure is. Only 6 Mazatlan fishing boats ventured out this past week and reflected 11 sailfish, 26 dorado and 1 yellowfin tuna at 88 lbs. Geronimo reports Mazatlan vacation sportfishing action is very good but it makes it hard when only a single boat per day is fishing because they can't cover sufficient area and share information on the fishing.

Mazatlan Climate: Good weather, partly cloudy conditions, and occasional late pm shower, temps 73 to 92

Sea Conditions: Nearly calm, very little breeze, temps stable at 87 degrees

Best Mazatlan Fishing Area: 25-30 miles to the southwest of the marina for the billfish and the dorado are still at the buoys.
