GOOD RESULTS FOR SAILFISH AND DORADO FOR LOCAL BOATS

Sailfish remain plentiful and the Mazatlan fishing boats are averaging 1.5 billfish per boat day fished and rounding ou the catch with dorado. The fleet reported for 17 fishing days that reflected 25 sailfish, (16 released) and 84 dorado for the week. Mazatlan charter fishing super pangas have been continuously limiting on dorado for more than a month.

Mazatlan Climate: Ranged from 76 at night to daytime high's of 93, partly cloudy and an occasional pm shower

Sea Conditions: Calm, temps from 85-86.5

Best Mazatlan Fishing Area: 27 miles to the southwest of the Marina El Cid for the sailfish and bigger dorado and the buoys for the unlimited quantities of 10-15 lb. dorado.

Best Lure/Bait: Rigged baits best for the sailfish, albeit, a fair number beingg taken on orangge & green feathers. Dorado pretty eager on the artificials, strip & live bait.
