ROUGH SEAS SCATTER GAME FISH

Oct. 8, 2005, Diana Hoyt, Mag Bay Outfitters, Magdalena Bay, Baja California Sur, Mexico Fishing Report:

Hurricane Otis has slowed fishing down at Magdalena Bay. Greg Wahl of Fullerton and Jerry Russ of San Clemente on the Freeway Burner, a 29 foot Pro Cat, had no problem launching in Lopez Mateos. The had to fish inside Magdalena Bay 2 days and caught sandbass, triggerfish, and 1 grouper. Then, fishing in the Pacific they caught limits of yellowfin tuna 15 miles out of Boca de Soledad. The water temperature was 77-78 degrees. They caught only 1 dorado in a half day of fishing out on the Pacific coast of Mexico's Baja California peninsula. Magdalena Bay weather was overcast and off-on winds.
