PACIFIC WINDS RUFFLE ACTION FOR OFFSHORE FISHING BOATS

May 14, 2005, Gary Graham, Baja On The Fly, Magdalena Bay, Mexico Fishing Report:

With the wind still ripping out of the west, it was less than wide open fishing action off Magdalena Bay last week. Yellowfin tuna offshore moved a few miles closer.

At the Magdalena Bay entrada, there were a few small yellowtail present under the bird schools. Up in the Magdalena Bay mangrove esteros, a few corvina, leopard grouper, and of course the cabrilla, were all that could be found for the few anglers fishing. Magdalena Bay water temperatures were 62-71 degrees, and air temperatures were 66-75 degrees, with scattered clouds.
