LORETO SHORES SPORTFISHING REPORT

Aug. 7, 2004, Jan Stark, Loreto Shores Villas & R.V. Park, Loreto, Mexico Fishing:

The fishing in Loreto is not over yet, but the dorado are too small to be brought in. There are some good yellowtail bites. I have seen some real nice Broomtail Grouper in the 35 Lb. and up to 40 lbs. being brought in by some of the boats. The Fishing for The Mission tournament was a great success even tho there were only a few fish caught.

We are getting ready for a local tournament sponsored by the Fishing & Hunting Club (Gaza). The Tournament is fishing for dorado. I do hope the fish gets bigger by Sept. 4, 5, & 6. The Water has been very hot, in the 90's and am looking for the cool down. There has been several billfish caught & released during the week, Marlin and Sailfish.
