JUST A FEW SPORTFISHING BOATS GOING OUT

Aug. 26, 2005, Larry Edwards, Cortez Yacht Charters, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico Fishing Report:

Only a couple of sportfishing boats out this week at Ixtapa Zihuatanejo due to typical slow summer angler activity and the poor weather conditions at this time of year.

However, the "Dos Hermanos I" and "Dos Hermanos II" reported good action on their outings, reflecting 13 roosterfish, 8 sailfish, 11 jack crevalle and 4 needle fish for 5 fishing days and the "Dos Hermanos II" reported 1 Jack crevalle, 3 barracuda and 3 sailfish lost for 3 fishing days.

Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing weather had 73 nights to 92 daytime highs, rainy and cloudy. Seas were mostly rough this week, windy and rain squalls, temperatures at 81 to 83 degrees. The bait supply remained okay, even through the full moon.
