GOOD FISHING ACTION FOR MIXED SPECIES INSHORE AND OFFSHORE

Oct. 1, 2004, Stan Lushinsky, Ixtapa Sportfishing Charters, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico Fishing:

Exceptional weather and calm sea conditions along with good offshore action and great inshore action was the order of the day in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo last week.

Finishing up his week of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing, French angler Mr. Barenes fishing aboard the Dos Hermanos 1 for 4 days landed 5 SAILFISH, 8 BONITOS, 5 NEEDLEFISH, 19 ROOSTERFISH and 20 YELLOWTAIL JACKS.

Captains Adolofo also fished two other days during the week landed 4 ROOSTERFISH and 4 BONITOS.

Several other Ixtapa Zihuatanejo boats reported an average of 2 SAILFISH per day along with increasing numbers of DORADOS.

For Bottom fishing enthusiasts Captain Alex of the super panga SIRENA reports non stop action on good sized red snapper at the black rock, just a mile offshore. Many Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing boats are limiting out on these great eating bottom fish.

Final preparations are underway for this year's Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Total Tag & Release tournament to be held November 14-17th, 2004. We will once again hold a live auction during the tournament with the proceeds going to benefit the Children?s Wish Foundation. Interested anglers are encouraged to contact our office as soon as possible for details on boat availability and lodging.
