VONNY'S FLEET SPORTFISHING CATCHES INCLUDE A 90-POUND BULL SHARK

This week for our pangas fishing at Punta Banda started slow on Monday, Brian Foley from "Campo La Joya" went fishing on the Vonny-I with Capt. Beto landing some bottom fish, sugar bass, a couple of lingcod, and a few bonitos.

By Tuesday the fishing got better as Jay Johnson went out on the Vonny-I with Capt. Beto catching besides plenty of red rockcod and lingcod, 3 very nice yellowtail of about 18 to 20 pounds.

Also on Tuesday, aboard the Vonny-III, Capt. Hector took out Walter Korbler from Newport Beach, Calif., and Evon Thomas of Long Beach, California, and Jerry Gutierrez. Besides getting 4 nice yellowtails and some bottom fish, they caught a 90 pound bull shark.

In Thursday's fishing, Richard Kenji Kubota from Davis, California, went out on the Vonny-I with Capt. Beto 2 days in a row and managed to catch his limits of bottom fish and a few bonita.

And on Saturday, Paul Beachly from Los Angeles, California, went out on the Vonny-I with Capt. Beto catching limits of nice lingcods.

The weather this week in our Punta Banda fishing area was mostly cloudy, with an air temperature of 62 to 66, light winds, swells of 2 feet, and water temperature 62 degrees.
