Aug. 13, 2005:

The lower 500 fishing spot off Ensenada has been producing yellowfin tunas up to 30 pounds and marlin of 125 pounds, also yellowtail in the kelp paddies. It has been so-so fishing, but San Jose reef and Punta Banda bank have had great fishing. Today, on the way back to Ensenada from San Jose reef the Amigo saw good activity at Santo Tomas Point. The fishing water temperature is 66.7 degrees. We saw a large school of breaking fish, like bonitos. We will fish at Santo Tomas Point for white seabass and yellowtails.
